Advanced Fast Start enables the Listener to begin playing a stream before it reaches its maximum buffer. When the Listener receives a minimum amount of data, it can begin playing a stream while its buffer continues to fill at a faster rate then normal.When the buffer is full, acceleration stops and the Player begins receiving data at the normal encoded bit rate.
  • Fast Cache Delivers content to users at a faster rate then the specified encoder bit rate by storing the content to cache as fast as the network allows.This enables the listener to receive a more reliable stream reducing the risk of pauses caused by network issues.

Dj Crossfading
Using our DJ Crossfading system you can seamlessly switch between live Broadcasts.
This enables a constant stream to the listener removing the need to reconnect.
A Separate DJ control panel is provided to allow your Djs to control the system without being able to change any Administrator settings.

How it works
Controlling the system is simple.You are allocated 2 separate publishing points for your Djs.When a DJ is ready to connect in he/she simply opens up the Crossfading control panel and can instantly view which publishing point is already in use by the Live DJ and then connect in to the publishing point that is free.Once connected you will be set to "waiting" state in the control panel and the Live DJ can see you are waiting to go Live.

The Djs can easily communicate via a built in message system.Once the Live Dj has finished, the waiting Dj simply clicks "Switch to source" and can begin to broadcast there content.To the viewer this will be shown as if the 2 Djs were in 1 Studio.

For clients using our Windows Media Auto DJ system, your Djs can also switch to the Auto Dj via the Crossfading control panel.

Listener Statistics
Within the Crossfading control panel you can simply view how many current listeners you have connected and the overall peak listeners since the counter was last reset.

Now Playing generator
(optional extra cost to remove "XstreamUK.com Presents" text priced at 2 GBP for live streams and 2 GBP for Auto DJ streams.)
Our simple Now Playing Generator allows you to Display the current title of the encoded stream.
Simply enter the title you would like presented in Windows Media encoder (For example "DJ XSTREAM") and this can be displayed on your site.
The now playing generator allows you to set up the look of the Now playing page and then generates the direct URL and Iframe code for you to use within your pages.

Clients using our Windows Media Auto DJ system will also benefit from the current Track title displayed which is being Broadcasted by the Auto DJ system.
